The World Trade Center East Bathtub Slurry Wall Project involves the construction of slurry panels on the south and north side of the temporary PATH Station which upon completion will permit Phoenix Constructors, JV to carry out the necessary excavation for the foundation of the 9\/11 Memorial.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n

Project work includes construction of 515 LF of structural slurry wall on the south side broken down into 27 slurry panels and 558 LF on the north side broken down into 23 slurry panels with an average depth of 75 LF and a maximum depth of 110 LF. The project team also constructed a temporary retaining structure on the south side due to grade change, starter walls which included pre-trenching \/ guide-walls along the length of the slurry panels and various SOE\/ demolition work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This project is a part of an overall $1 billion World Trade Center Transportation Hub Project in New York City featuring the work of World renowned architect Santiago Calatrava. This is an attempt by the Port Authority of NY\/NJ to rebuild the site destroyed by the 9\/11 attacks. The whole project includes a permanent PATH Station, 9\/11 Memorial, new office buildings and a Freedom Tower.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kiewit Constructors formed a joint venture with TreviIcos Corporation to form a first class team that brought Knowledge, Experience.
