Lonato del Garda Tunnel: the results of the test field carried out by Trevi Spa

The results of the test field carried out by Trevi Spa – in the preliminary investigation for the evaluation of the soils to be consolidated as part of the work for the Lonato Tunnel – were very interesting and allowed substantial changes to be made to the initial project:

· The design mesh was remodelled and, at the same time, the number of valves per linear metre was increased.

· The mixtures to be used were revised: a second injection of silicate mixture was added to a first one of cement mixture with a low cement content.

· Only sub-vertical drilling was carried out.
