Herbert Hoover Dike Gap Closure

In 2017 Treviicos returned to the Herbert Hoover Dike Rehabilitation with Reach 1 Cutoff Wall Gap Closure project.

The project required the installation of a cutoff in areas of the Dike in the proximity of existing structures. Due to the locations, the cutoff wall was specified as combination of conventional cutoff and cutoff by jet grouting (JG).

TREVIICOS installed the conventional cutoff by SHS by hydromill and the JG with conventional and elliptical JG utilizing a Soilmec SR-75 for the required predrilling and a Soilmec SR-30 for the JG.

JG with pre-drilling had never been used together in this environment before. The work was completed within schedule in 2019.
