Deep Foundations

In this field, Trevi's technological development was aimed at eliminating static bentonite muds, commonly used for the support of the excavation in case of loose soils or soft cohesive soils. Purpose of said elimination is the reduction of the size of the site, and the minimization of the soil debris polluted by stabilizing slurries.

Research led to the design of a new range of hydraulic drill rigs through which it is possible to perform cased holes/shafts with diameters up to 1500 mm and to a max. depth of 40 m. Drill rigs are equipped with hydraulic casing drivers for the retrieval of the temporary casing once the concrete casting is completed.
