A Qualified Presence in Algeria in the Soil Technologies Sector

TREVI has been present in Algeria since 1995 and started its own activities in Algeria in July 2000 with the subsidiary TREVI Algeria. The company operates as a specialized company in the field of special works such as:

  • Geotechnical surveys and in situ tests
  • Drilling and Injection
  • Diaphragm Wall
  • Jet Grouting
  • Temporary and permanent Anchors
  • Bored and Secant Piles
  • Reinforced and unreinforced Micropiles
  • Nailing

Trevi Algeria Eurl, a subsidiary of Trevi SPA, headquartered in Italy and directly dependent on it, has a remarkably organized and highly qualified staff, modern drilling equipment, and cutting-edge technology. These factors combined contribute to providing high production, high quality of completed works, and reduced execution times.

The integrated culture of quality, safety, and environment has always been a distinctive element of Trevi, the business card with which the company has always presented itself on the national and global market. Today, the Trevi Group is a world leader in Underground Engineering for special foundations, tunnel excavation, soil consolidation, and the construction and marketing of specialized machinery and equipment in the sector. The Group makes development, research, and design its mission, and is committed with dedication and passion to building foundations useful for socio-economic growth, respecting cultures and the environment.

Trevi has successfully operated in important projects. Chronologically, the water resources sector was the first to see TREVI engage in major dam and transfer projects in the APD study phase and in the construction phase:

  • Hammam Boughrara Dams (W. Tlemcen)
  • Taksebt (W. Tizi Ouzou)
  • Brézina (W. El Bayadh)
  • Ain Youcef Sikkak (W. Tlemcen)
  • Sidi M'hammed Ben Taiba (W. Ain Defla)
  • Kramis (W. Mostaganem)
  • Beni Haroun (W. Mila)
  • Kissir (W. Jijel)
  • Chéliff Mao Lot 1 (W. Mostaganem)
  • Kef Eddir (W. Tipaza)
  • Tagharist (W. Khenchela)
  • Tichy-Haf (W. Bejaia)
  • Boukhroufa (W. Taref)
  • Djedra (W. Souk Ahras)
  • Souk Tlata (W. Tizi Ouzou)

The Algiers metro, a large-scale project, saw the application of innovative techniques and technologies, such as the diaphragm wall excavated by hydrofraise, secant piles (CSP), soil treatment, and jet grouting. The works related to the first line phase 1 and 2 (Hai el Badr — El Harrach) and extension C (Hal El Badr — Ain Naadja) are completed. The ongoing works are at the level of extension Cl (Ain Naadja — Baraki) for bored piles, anchor ties, and forepoling, as well as Extension B1 (El Harrach - International Airport) for diaphragm walls, bored piles, anchor ties, and jet grouting.

The East-West highway, the largest highway project in North Africa, benefits from Trevi's presence on the ground, bringing the most appropriate and advantageous technologies: bored piles, micropiles, anchor ties, drainage, soil nailing. The Tizi Ouzou penetration is also under construction.

The new Oued Tlelat/Tlemcen/Moroccan Borders railway line includes pile, micropile, sheet pile, jet grouting, anchor tie, survey, inclinometer, and drain works. The modernization of the Thénia — Tizi Ouzou railway line includes bored piles, and the construction of the new Saida — Moulay Slissen railway line, as well as the Mostaganem tramway with bored piles, micropiles, and anchor ties.

Another important intervention and a first in Algeria: foundations with Ø 2000 mm piles for the Transrhumel viaduct in Constantine.

We also mention our participation in other projects such as:

  • Driven piles for the new LNG train of the Skikda refinery
  • LNG plant project Arzew
  • Headquarters of Algeria Post
  • ATM Mobilis
  • Intercommunal collector of Algiers
  • Hamma desalination plant in Algiers
  • 400kv transmission line — Béchar
  • Port of Annaba
  • Terga Power Plant in Ain Temouchent
  • Parc Dounia in Algiers
  • Future cement plant of Hodna Cement Company
  • Foundations of the minaret of the Great Mosque of Algiers with new barrette technology
  • Bellara steel plant in Jijel with CFA rigid inclusions

Trevi Algeria is a company of the Trevi Group

Internationalization, integration, and continuous exchange between its two divisions are some of the reasons for the success of the Trevi Group: Trevi, which carries out special foundation and soil consolidation works for major infrastructure projects (metros, dams, ports and quays, bridges, railway and highway lines, industrial and civil buildings) and secures contaminated sites, and Soilmec, which designs, produces, and markets machines, systems, and services for soil engineering.

The parent company TREVI – Finanziaria Industriale Spa has been listed on the Milan Stock Exchange since July 1999.
